El Amin Strategies (elamin.xyz) is run by El Amin, trading as El Amin Strategies. This page explains what happens to any personal information you share through this website. The short version: only what you send is collected, it is used only to reply to you and work with you, and it is never sold.

What is collected

Only personal information you choose to give:

• When you apply: your name, email address, business details and your answers to our questions. If we invite you to the second step, your answers to a second, longer set of questions.
• When you become a client and complete the onboarding questionnaire — your business information and the content needed to build your website.
• When you send an email — whatever your correspondence contains.
• Basic technical data — the hosting provider keeps standard security logs (such as IP addresses) to keep the site safe.

Why it is used

To respond to your enquiry, prepare your quote, and deliver the services you engage El Amin Strategies for — in legal terms, taking steps to enter into and perform a contract with you. There is also a legitimate interest in keeping this website secure.

There is no newsletter, no marketing list, and your data is never sold or rented to anyone.

Who processes it

A small number of providers process data on instruction to run this website: Cloudflare (hosting and security), Hetzner Online in Falkenstein, Germany (our own server, which keeps applications and the dashboard's records) and Google Workspace (the mailbox we reply from). Where any of them process data outside the EEA, recognised safeguards such as standard contractual clauses are in place.

How long it is kept

Applications we decline are deleted within six months of the decision. Other enquiries are kept for up to 24 months so a conversation can be picked up where it left off, then deleted. Client project records are kept for the duration of the engagement and afterwards only as long as the law requires, for example for tax and accounting.

Cookies

This website uses no advertising, analytics or tracking cookies. The only cookie it can ever set is a functional sign-in cookie for a private page used internally — it is never used to track you.

Your rights

You can ask at any time to see the personal data held about you, correct it, delete it, restrict how it is used, object to its use, or receive a copy in a portable format. Email hello@elamin.xyz and it will be acted on promptly.

If you are unhappy with how your data has been handled, you can complain to the data protection authority where you live.
